Dr. LaRee Johnson

Dr. Johnson graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee in 1996 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In 1999, upon completion of a three-year residency, she received her certificate in pediatric dentistry and postdoctoral Masters of Science at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Johnson is a board certified pediatric dentist. Along with her diplomat status in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry she is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and several state and regional dental societies. She is an adjunct faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry where she enjoys teaching in the undergraduate pediatric dentistry clinic. Dr. Johnson previously practiced in Rocky Mount for three years while commuting from her home in Raleigh. She opened the Wakefield office (next to the SunTrust bank) to be closer to her home and family.

Dr. Morris is a proud Tar Heel, having received both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon completing his pediatric dentistry residency training at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital of Richmond, Virginia, he and his wife returned home to North Carolina.
Dr. Morris is a board certified pediatric dentist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Morris is also a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatrics. When he's not tickling teeth, Dr. Morris enjoys playing with his daughter, brewing beer, running, seeing live music, and spending time with friends and family.
Meet the Staff
I have been a part of Dr. Johnson's team since 2008 and I am the patient-flow coordinator here at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry. I love being in a child-friendly environment because I adore the sounds of laughter and happy children. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 daughters. I actively help out with the youth at church and like to go on mission trips whenever I am able.
I have been working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry since March 2014. I am an administrative assistant for the office. I love working with children and am thankful for the opportunity to watch them grow up. A few miscellaneous things about me: I was born and raised in Colorado. I love to travel and experience different cultures. A perfect day would include spending time with my favorite person (my husband), playing the piano, hanging with my church family, exercising, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!
Hello! I was born and raised here in Raleigh, NC. My husband and I married in 2004. We have three boys: Talyn 10, Brody 7, and Jayce 2. I started working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry in 2005. I then took a four year break to stay home with our children. After our third son turned one, I decided to return to work. I serve as the emergency on-call dental assistant and clinical coordinator. I enjoy working with children and their families as they establish a dental home. My favorite is watching the children grow and turn their fear of the dentist into a happy place.
I am originally from St. Lucia but North Carolina has been my home for the past 26 years. I started working in the dental industry as a Red Cross volunteer for the US Navy. I enjoy working with little people and adore seeing their smiling faces. During my free time I love photography and cherish spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren.
I have been working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry since January 2015 and I absolutely love my job! I adore all children, but above all I have a heart for kids with special needs. I love being active, eating healthy, working in my garden and spending time with my husband, Caleb!
I am the front desk coordinator at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry and I've been working with Dr. Johnson since 2006. I love getting to know the children and parents and enjoy seeing the kids grow up right before my eyes! I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have one daughter who is an absolute joy. I take pleasure in spending time with my family, exercising, nature, trying new recipes, and relaxing.
I have been in dentistry since 1988 and have been working with Dr. Johnson since 2003. I am part of the front desk team and I'm also the hospital coordinator. I enjoy working with children and have a wonderful daughter that loves coming to see Dr. J and the team. I attend her volleyball games and I enjoy family time, reading, shopping, and visiting the North Carolina mountains and beaches whenever we get the chance.
My name is Silvia and I have worked as a dental hygienist at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry since July 2011. I enjoy working with children of all ages, as they are all unique and there is never a dull moment. I am a mother of a sweet young girl and an energetic little boy. I love to travel, read Christian books and spend quality time with my family. Working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry is a true blessing in my life and I enjoy every minute of it.
I have been dental assisting for Dr. Johnson since the doors opened at Carolina Pediatric in 2002! I absolutely love what I do and couldn't be happier to be a part of the team. In my free time I enjoy time at the lake with my husband, shopping, working out, basking in the sun, and hanging out with my 2 grown children.
My name is Amarilis but go by Amy for short. I started working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry in 2007. I currently manage the sterilization area and I absolutely love it; it suits my fast-past nature extremely well. I live in the Raleigh area with my husband and son. I was born in Puerto Rico so I love traveling home whenever I get the chance. I enjoy laughing, spicy food and have an appreciation for stylish shoes.
I started working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry in 2008. Dr. Johnson personally trained me to be a dental assistant and I am so thankful that she did! I love being a dental assistant and working with children, as they bring me so much joy. I live in the Raleigh area with my husband and 2 children, a girl and a boy. I am originally from Mexico so I love visiting whenever I am able.
I joined Dr. Johnson's team in 2003. I am the front desk receptionist and I delight in seeing the children's smiling faces when they walk through the door! I am the proud mother of 2 sons and I have an amazing husband. I love to travel the world and I am a huge Yankees fan - Go Yankees!
I am a Raleigh native and have worked with Dr. Johnson since 2002 as a dental assistant and patient correspondence liaison. I have a husband and two children (daughter and son) who keep me laughing daily. I enjoy readying, scrapbooking, being involved with my church and playing with my dog Georgia.
I’m originally from Memphis, Tennessee and attended UNC Chapel Hill for both undergraduate and graduate school. As a marketing consultant, I help connect children and families with the fabulous dental team and services at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry. Outside the office, I love spending time with my adorable daughter, being outdoors, reading, and sampling my husband’s homebrew.
I have been working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry as a front desk team member since June 2015. I am originally from Georgia and attended University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I moved to Wake Forest in 2012 to pursue a Master's degree at Southeastern Theological Baptist Seminary. I enjoy watching movies, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.
I am a Raleigh native and I started in pediatric dentistry as a certified dental assistant. After 18 years in the field, I went back to school to earn a degree in Dental Hygiene from Wake Technical Community College. I have been working with Dr. Johnson since 2010. I enjoy playing tennis
Hi! I'm Amanda, and I have been interning at CPD for four summers. I love it here and always look forward to seeing everyone's smiles. I am very thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a hardworking and loving team, who put children's oral health first. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Morris truly care for their patients. With their guidance I have been accepted into dental school and am so excited for my journey in dentistry!
I have been a part of Carolina Pediatric Dentistry since March 2007 as a dental assistant. I absolutely love my job and I enjoy working with children and watching them grow up. I'm married to an amazing husband and we have 3 adorable children. I like braiding and doing hair in my free time.
I started working with Dr. Johnson and Dr. Morris in October of 2015 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 2015. There, I majored in Biology with the goal of pursuing a career in dentistry. Working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry has been an excellent learning experience and I am so excited about meeting so many wonderful patients, parents, and co-workers while I apply to dental school. In my free time, I like to exercise, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
I was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States at age 13. I have been working in the pediatric dental field since 2010 and have loved every minute of it. Children are so special because they can say and the do the funniest things. I started working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry in November of 2015 and it has been the most amazing transition I have ever made. Working hard as a team is one of my top priorities. Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my husband and little boy. They are my entire world.
I have been a part of the CPD team since 2015. I am a dental assistant and clinical coordinator for Dr. Johnson and Dr. Morris. Being part of this team has been such an amazing adventure. I am a wife to an incredible man and father. I have three children that keep my life busy when I am not taking care of all of the wonderful children at the office. In my free time I enjoy reading, watching sports with my family, cooking and using my creative side to personalize my home.
I am originally from Oklahoma and moved to North Carolina in 2014. I am the sterilization technician at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry and have worked here since 2015. I love having the opportunity to help kids feel comfortable at the office by making them laugh. I recently completed a Bachelor's degree at Liberty University. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling and reading theology.
I am originally from Mexico and I started working at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry in June 2015. I am a dental assistant and I have enjoyed every day since I started with the office. Drs. Johnson and Morris are amazing and the team functions as one, big happy family. I live in Raleigh with my husband and we are expecting our first baby in December 2016.
James - Business Manager
From writing the business plan to finding a builder, James has been instrumental in the managing the business side of the dental practice. He coordinates advertising, and helps the good doctor make purchasing decisions. James's educational background includes a B.S. in Computer Engineering and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, an M.S. in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, and numerous hours of continuing education on dental practice management and development.
